Countdown to Tokonatsu 2021 (7 Days)

By Kurt Schofield | Thursday, 22 July 2021

We're officially in the home stretch now! We only have a week to go and so it's about time to start consider packing for Tokonatsu 2021. While you do that, here are some things to keep in mind and think about.

New Registrations

We had previously announced that Friday 16th July 2021 would be your last opportunity to register for Tokonatsu 2021. This is mainly due to arrangements and agreements between Tokonatsu and Central Bedfordshire's Safety Advisory Group along with our insurers in order for us to be able to run at all. These agreements were made well in advance with the assumption of being able to run in at least stage 3 of the UK goverment's COVID-19 road plan.

We have listened to your feedback and gone back to the relevant parties to see what we can do! We are still unable to allow on-the-door tickets to be sold but have been able to arrange for a limited re-opening of registrations for Tokonatsu 2021.

Please be aware however that due to the late nature of these registrations, badges for the event have already gone to print and so personalised badges will not be available.

Additionally, all parking spaces have already been booked and allocated and so you may need to find alternative travel or parking arrangements. Parking in the residential area nearby is not permitted.

The new deadline for this limited time registration extension is 8:00pm Wednesday, 28th July 2021. You better hurry before it's too late!

If you have any further queries about your registration, please contact the registration team here.

The TokoShop is now open for business!

We would like to remind everyone that the Toko Merchandise shop is open once again! If you have not yet placed an order, it will in all likelihood no longer arrive before the event. The online shop will howver remain open for a month after the event has passed. Specific details of this deadline will be announced after the event.

As previously announced, we will unfortunately not have any merchandise available at the event this year - we apologise for the inconvenience.

COVID Safety Measures

We are aware that the government guidance has recently changed once again in regards to safety precautions for COVID-19. We have discussed the changes among the team but have ultimately decided to keep all precautions that have been previously announced in-place for Tokonatsu 2021.

One of the reasons Tokonatsu has been allowed to run is because of the extensive work being completed behind the scenes in conjunction with Bedfordshire Council. The aforementioned work included proving appropriate due diligence on our behalf to minimise the risk of spreading COVID, backed up with all the necessary risk assessments and safeguards in place.

Tokonatsu remains a socially responsible event and as such, we still want to keep the risks of spreading COVID to an absoloute minimum. We hope you all understand.

Before you arrive... Lateral Flow Tests

As a reminder to what has been previously announced, before arriving on site, we require all attendees (including staff, vendors and visitors) to complete a lateral flow test as a precaution before being allowed entry to the site.

Further Queries

If you have any further queries any of the topics outlined in this post, please submit a contact form here where one of our team members will get back to you shortly.

For any general queries however, we encourage asking on one of our social media platforms where someone may be able to get back to you much faster. Also if you have a question, it's possible that information could be useful to someone else too.

If you haven't already, please check out our our previous post for more information regarding COVID-19 safety measures at the event, what individual events will be running, etc

See you soon!

It's been a strange two years since our last event but I personally feel like the time has gone in a flash. In order to enjoy this year, please ensure you plan your journeys ahead of time and take all the necessary precautions to protect yourselves and everyone around you as you make your way to the campsite. We look forward to seeing you all very soon.

As always, keep well and stay safe!
