Before you Arrive at Tokonatsu 2021

As previously announced in our news posts and social media sites, we require all attendees aged 11 or above to complete a Lateral Flow Test before they will be allowed access into the event. These must be completed on the day of arrival. This process must also be completed by all staff, volunteers and vendors.

What is a Lateral Flow Test?

A regular COVID-19 rapid lateral flow test is quick 30 minute test designed for people without symptoms to test for COVID-19. They appear and work very similarly to pregenancy tests.

For further guidance, please check-out the NHS website here.

Where do I get a Lateral Flow Test?

Tests are available for free and will not cost you a thing! There are two simple ways to obtain one.

How to I complete the test?

The lateral flow test kits come with a step-by-step instruction guide on how to complete it. The test usually involves rubbing a long cotton bud (swab) over the tonsils (or where they would have been) and the inside of your nose. The swab then gets mixed with a solution and dripped onto a testing strip. After about 30 minutes, the strip will reveal a result. In the event of a void result, the test will need to be completed again.

The government has kindly put together a how-to video on how to complete the tests. Check it out below!

If this will be your first time completing a test - we higly advise giving it a go before hand to get used to it so you aren't so stressed on your day of departure!
