As previously announced in our news posts and social media sites, we require all attendees aged 11 or above to complete a Lateral Flow Test before they will be allowed access into the event. These must be completed on the day of arrival. This process must also be completed by all staff, volunteers and vendors.
A regular COVID-19 rapid lateral flow test is quick 30 minute test designed for people without symptoms to test for COVID-19. They appear and work very similarly to pregenancy tests.
For further guidance, please check-out the NHS website here.
Tests are available for free and will not cost you a thing! There are two simple ways to obtain one.
You can order tests to be delivered straight to your home. If you choose to follow this option, please allow sufficient time for delivery. They do arrive quickly but we advise ensuring these are available at least a week before the event. You are able to order one pack per day and one pack contains 7 tests.
You are able to collect lateral flow testing kits from many local pharamacies across the UK. You are able to collect a maximum of 2 packs at a time, each which contains 7 tests.
The lateral flow test kits come with a step-by-step instruction guide on how to complete it. The test usually involves rubbing a long cotton bud (swab) over the tonsils (or where they would have been) and the inside of your nose. The swab then gets mixed with a solution and dripped onto a testing strip. After about 30 minutes, the strip will reveal a result. In the event of a void result, the test will need to be completed again.
The government has kindly put together a how-to video on how to complete the tests. Check it out below!
If this will be your first time completing a test - we higly advise giving it a go before hand to get used to it so you aren't so stressed on your day of departure!
Before you attend, please ensure that you follow the steps outlined below. Failure to do so may result in late admission to the event or ultimately denied entry to the event.
Unfortunately you will not be able to attend Tokonatsu 2021. Please follow any government guidance given to you upon declaring your result. At the time of writing, this includes isolating for 10 days pending the completion of a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test as soon as possible at your local test centre.
You will be entitled to a refund on your ticket providing you can provide evidence of your positive result. If this is the case, please contact the registration team here.
