Greetings from all of us working behind the scenes at Tokonatsu! We hope you are all keeping yourselves safe and healthy as we continue to deal with the ongoing effects of the coronavirus situation.
One thing that is certain however is that we are all working hard to make Tokonatsu 2021 a reality. We missed all of you last year but were so happy to see so many of you show up for the virtual event that we hosted. We would like to give a massive thank you to those that helped and everyone who turned up – it is the community members like yourselves that make Tokonatsu what it is.
We are less than 1½ months from Tokonatsu 2021 and with a two year gap between events due to the hiatus last year and numerous lockdowns since – we are sure you are all as eager as we are to see each other at the event.
It is highly likely that while the world is still dealing with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tokonatsu 2021 may not seem as it usually does.
In order to run, we are having to rework most events while having to cut others completely in order to abide by the current health and safety guidance set by the government in order to remain both safe for the attendees and legally compliant.
At this point, we can confirm the following:
Events returning for Tokonatsu 2021 |
Events NOT returning for Tokonatsu 2021 |
|
|
* The above events are still subject to change pending changes to government guidance.
Events pending risk assessments & other factors: | |
Cosplay
|
Matsuri
|
With events not running this year, we hope you understand the circumstances and look forward to them returning once we are able to return to normal.
We have additionally decided to implement the following restrictions:
Please be advised that the above restrictions are based on information that we have here and now. The above list is not exhaustive and may be subject to change as we get closer to the event – ensuring Tokonatsu complies with government
guidance and guidelines.
We would also like to let you know that we have recently updated our TokoMart page in light of changes to government guidance and in order to prepare for coming Tokonatsu. If anyone is interested in registering with the TokoMart we ask you to please read through it thoroughly.

Next, we aim to release another update in June In the meantime, you can continue to keep up-to-date with any other news by following us at the usual places.
Because of the on-going situation, Tokonatsu 2021 will most likely be our most challenging Tokonatsu to run yet and so we would appreciate your patience.
