COVID-19 / Coronavirus - Tokonatsu 2020 Update

By Colin Barker | Thursday, 19 March 2020

As I’m sure you’re all aware, there’s a bit of uncertainty around mass gatherings and live events in general due to COVID-19.

We expect that the peak of the virus will have passed by the end of July/August so whilst we’re hoping to be unaffected, we will be monitoring the latest news and health recommendations in case the situation changes at all in the coming months.

We are not anticipating having to cancel but we will keep all attendees updated should this change. Should we need to cancel, we will update our cancellation policy accordingly to make this fair for all attendees.

Our top priority is ensuring the well-being and safety of our team and toko-goers so if this is potentially going to be compromised because of COVID-19, we will consider our options at this time.

It can’t be said enough how important it is to look after yourself (physically and mentally) and reach out to those who may be vulnerable during this difficult time. There’s lots of great tools out there to help you collaborate and communicate with others online, you can even watch movies and anime together through screen-sharing! and of course, don’t forget to wash your hands regularly, if it helps, do this to the tune of your favourite anime intro (singing along to Ichirin no hana whilst washing your hands does make it feel a bit better!).

You can also join us for a natter on our Discord server here: Join the Tokonatsu Discord Server

Here’s some handy links we’d recommend if you want advice or help during this time:
