I think all the events team wore far too many clothes, it was disgusting!
I don't think I can really add to this, seeing as I played my part in their performance. I'll sleep on the matter and privately post them.
But next year......... a little skin please! _________________

Needs more tokodisk
And the red flag probably needs moving for the next CTF, since all the entrances can be covered fairly easily. _________________ "I do NOT have triangles for feet" - Snowking |

I know the same animes were used for the pictionary events twice. It made the ones used twice really predictable, so different lists should maybe be used next time? =] _________________ ~Pikachao

yeah the lists were a problem. they ended up getting recyled. i was thinking maybe a predetermined 10 strong list. and first ones to finish there list win. that way i can swap the lists aroudn and they can get harder as the game progresses. *shrug* thoughts keep flying.
yeah the red bas is a problem. ill revise its possition OR change where the blue base is. more likely the latter _________________ In 2007 I Was The Choco Bear.....

A box of slips of paper or cards with the titles would work better for the pictionary, as it'd be impossible to have read the others when you're the one drawing then guessing afterwards. I go to another con where they run pictionary every year, and we all get given paper and pens and write the prompts in a big group, then chuck them under the flipchart to be used. It takes a couple of minutes, and could result in a nice variety if you got everyone to do that during one of the waiting periods, or before they're allowed to play.
It'd be good if people were always redistributed in events where twenty people turn up for one house and five for another. I don't know how you'd work it for the points scoring, but it's not so fun being sat in a group with five people for pictionary as it is being in a group of ten or so, and I imagine it'd be hard for everyone to see easily or be heard in the larger groups.
I really enjoyed the water pistol event where we collected the cones and had spies. I'm not exactly the fastest runner, and it was possible to do well on that one based on tactics and sneakiness rather than running fast or luck. It was my favourite watery event by far.
I was put off joining in the assassin game due to the suggestion that I could have water chucked over me when I'm not expecting it; I had visions of soggy manga or a waterlogged phone. I'd like to join in in future, but I wouldn't if any of the assassination methods could be potentially damaging or messy.
Oops, sorry, this got a bit long-winded! Everything else about the events was brilliant, really, and I enjoyed all of them a lot. |

Yeah all the events were really good. I did alot more this year than last year, cuz I didn't want to completely knacker myself out on my first year.
I do agree with the assassins point made by fuschia, the water put me off too.
Also the scavenger hunt was a great new event
The only thing I would say about that is that me, and I know quite a few others, followed all the clues start to finish, but at the end of the events we took part in, you just said ' OK, who needs scavenger clues?' This especially bugged me for the last clue... Loads of people picked it up who I know didn't follow the hunt >.<
But yeah, it was all great
Can't wait to see if there are more new events next time around, and partaking in the old ones too. _________________ Party Like It's 1899! |

Predetermined lists would definitely be better, although having to complete the list to win is a surefire way to make the event overrun. =P I'd suggest just having set lists of ~20 and setting a time limit, with the win going to any house that does manage to finish in time.
Otherwise, the events I did do were awesome, although I didn't get time for many. Assassins, however, was brilliantly run and was really enjoyable - I know I'm not the only one who was hoping it'd be running a second time on the Sunday~ |
